Only go Saturday afternoon to watch the football. The cask ale is always spot on and a very reasonable price.

1 year agoIt's very rare i venture into Leigh at night especially on a weekend. However what I witnessed by bar staff and we presumed a friend of hers was disgusting and bullying at its best. Causing an issue with what looked like people they knew and then stirring the pot themselves which resulted in a few words shared. It was the presumed friend of the girl behind the bar that had caused this but the management penalised the other group of friends. When I realised one of the girls in the group is my niece, i asked what was happening. Looks like the george employ homophobic bullies. Which is rich as the two people causing the issue are a couple!!

2 years agoIt was a very spacious room with one double and one single bed. Contained the basic facilities (coffee, water, reading table, chair and even an ironing board) and that was good. Dinner was tasty but I cannot say the same for breakfast. The potato bread was not it for me, although I did try some. Not as if they are not good but they can be better.
I have had tastier hashbrowns at The Malone Hotel before. There were other options which may have been better but I was pressed for time and did not try them. Good location too, a short drive away from Belfast City Airport.

2 years agoNot really a pub Hopper myself but this one is right by the bus station where you can eat, drink, watch TV and watch for your bus coming all at the same time. I'd say that's pretty damn cool for those that frequent said establishments.

3 years agoVery long and narrow. There's an eerie atmosphere to this place, which makes it a "must see" for anyone holidaying in Leigh.
Meet the locals!
For us, this was the start of a true Odyssey. Left the pub, bought some cans of Guinness, caught the V1 bus to Manchester.

Vivien Almond
5 years agoPretty laid back place that's good for a quiet drink with a friend during the week. Usually some form of sport on one of the numerous tvs in the seating areas, plus a large outdoor screen in the beer garden.
Usually have a good selection of real ales on cask which is a pleasant surprise and a change from a fridge full of cans claiming to be "craft"
