What's not to love, staff are fab, atmosphere great. You then cannot beat steak and eggs for breakfast! Coffee is good too. Always a seat and plenty of parking. Cannot say my enough, staff make this place great to visit, the food is a bonus!

The staff are really friendly and helpful. The food is great. We started going for Sunday lunch, then looking at the menu have been back mid week on different days for the daily special. Every time the food is great, comes out quick, and hot. Glad we decided to call for a Sunday roast, we will continue to go. Brilliant service.

Bit of a faff ordering from the app. Bit of a wait in the queue to order at the bar but not rediculous. Food came quick. Big list of allergens online through a QR code on the menu. This was helpful avoiding heart burn. Was surprised how many items had mustard in them.

All our food today was fresh and delicious and it arrived piping hot and very quickly. My son really enjoyed his build your own tacos he liked that it all came in separate dishes, He also really enjoyed his chocolate brownie dessert. All of the staff were very welcoming and friendly and Kelly was very helpful in assisting us with a problem. Thank you very much. We will definitely return and I would recommend visiting.

A brilliant pub. Great food, easily ordered at the bar or on the app to get delivery to your table. 15% off with a blue light card as well. Sunday is Quiz night with the brilliant Kass. He is amazing, friendly and makes it a wonderful night out. Starts at 7.30pm and is completed on a smart phone. Leanne the manager is lovely and exceptionally helpful and polite. Highly recommend this place for a meal, drink and night out.

Me and my mother in law went this morning for breakfast been a few times before for lunch so new it was good food, on entry there was a friendly lady behind bar said hello which was also nice, unfortunately the coffee machine was broke but no problem they had back up of instant coffee which I was OK with, when I say the food was quick, after order is was bang on the table withing 10 minutes of me sitting down, the lady who brought it was nice , the breakfast was bob on can't complain for 4.99, I did switch out the hash browns for toast and it was no problem for them, overall extremely happy and of course we will visit again for breakfast.

Great value food especially on the deals and it's pretty good stuff as well. Very much enjoyed the classic chicken new yorker on the £6 epic dish meal. Food came very quickly and John on the staff was attentive and efficient to make sure food was good and get the plate taken when it was quickly finished!

I took my 92 year old friend out for breakfast she ordered the bacon on toast I ordered the mega breakfast so called cos it's so big I asked for runny yolks on my eggs, they brought it out eggs on top of my beans only one with a runny yolk, 5 tiny mushrooms my toast was on top of my bacon I lifted up the toast to dried out greasy dark bacon that looked like it had been stood for hours and Rock hard I didn't touch a thing on it I told them I weren't paying £8.99 for that crap they took it away my friend was struggling to eat her bacon on toast I told her to send it back but she said she didn't like complaining so I shouted the woman back and told her that my friends food was inedible the bacon was same as mine and the toast was that hard it nearly broke her false teeth no joke won't go there again I wouldn't mind but the place was empty now I know why

It's not too bad. Some staff are nice but then some are quite rude and unwelcoming. The food is acceptable and to their credit they are very fast. They always have music absolutely blasting from the kitchen and it sounds like there's a rave in there and they're all on pills or something. Sounds like a better time in there than in the pub itself 😂

Stunning Steak and Eggs for breakfast. Now that's what I call a decent place. Not everyone wants bacon all the time. Steak and Eggs were on point. Cooked to perfection and Eggs were soft! Nice place. Calm background music and the young lady serving was happy and cheerful which makes the day even better. Well done! I'll be back!

We went to hungry horse Leigh (the parsonage) for afternoon lunch. We walked in and grabbed a table no issues. We ordered food on the app in which we ordered 2 mains, 2 sides and a children's meal. We did not wait long 10 mins max! Food was lovely and hot! Jonny our host was very attentive and polite! Thanks mate. Keep up the good work!

I come here at least once a week. It's a great stop off when I'm shopping. There's always a deal on, the food is great and always hot it's great value for money. There's plenty of parking places, the staff are super friendly. They also accept blue light discount which is great ?

First time eating here, ordered the combo sharing starter which was great for the price. The breaded chicken with jacket potato and salad and the steak and ale pie. All delicious but the peas and chips with the pie looked a bit stingy. However not the end of the world because we were stuffed with the combo platter lol. Overall not a bad value meal as part of the two mains offer. Will deffo be back again.

We visited yesterday and "Leanne" who served us was an absolute gem. From start to finish she made sure we were comfortable, knew the offers on for that time of day, was friendly to the max. I think every restaurant should have a Leanne. BTW the food choice we chose was perfect and we will definitely be there at hungry horse again. Thanks Leanne you were brilliant

Visited for a quick breakfast while out shopping and unfortunately it wasn’t great. It came out extremely quick, while I understand speedy service is usually great, on the occasion it was a little bit of a red flag. Everything tasted like it had been pre cooked and placed in a microwave to re heat in order. I suppose however you get what you pay for and it might just be personal taste. The general feel of the place comes across as tacky. The lady that served me however was lovely.

It is the first time in a while my wife and I have had breakfast in a pub and we will be doing it again. The food was lovely, it was plentiful and it was reasonably priced. The staff were pleasant and approachable even though they were busy. We will definitely be visiting the Parsonage again and might in the evening next time.

Overall we had a good experience, there was an issue with drinks, in that we ordered via the app and one of the drinks was out of stock. Then when one meal came out with an issue, it was resolved straight away and dessert was offered as an apology. Can't say fairer than that. The staff were very friendly and helpful as if nothing was too much trouble for them. I will be returning.

We come here occasionally for a nice pub meal that isn't too expensive, but the last time we came the menu was a little different and I have to say looked amazing. I had the seabass fillet and it is was absolutely delicious! Will be coming more often from now on.

The food was okay...pub grub...and was served quickly. The pub itself was unclean, with dirty tables, lots of tables had plates from the previous customers and the place felt cold. Also, the bartender did not inform us that the main meal came with a free dessert that we needed to order with the meal. As we didn't know this, we had to pay full price when we went to order a dessert after the main meal. Staff should know which deals are on offer, allowing customers to get what's advertised.

First time visiting the Parsonage, and I was really impressed. Food was excellent, the whole family enjoyed it, and the children can be quite fussy, but empty plates all round speaks volumes. Prices are very reasonable for this type of establishment too. Nice play area outside for the little ones to play in, which they thoroughly enjoyed. Fully recommend that you pay this place a visit. A little diamond in the heart of Leigh, top notch ?

Roll up, roll up! come one, come all to the parsonage! I have been to this exceptional pub a few times now and I have never had a single problem (except one time when the food took ages but I forgive and forget.) Some notable dishes include; Plant-based Fish & Chips, Halloumi Strips, Sweet Nachos and regular Nachos. I cannot recommend taking a trip down to the parsonage enough. Fond memories have been made in the parsonage. The food is great and the staff are very nice.

This was a first visit, but everything was brilliant. I had the steak (peppercorn sauce), my friend had the sizzler which was like 3 meals served on a plater. There was plenty on the plate and cooked just right. The impression on the place was that it was clean and polite and attentive staff. Interior looked quite new and bright. Good atmosphere and would choose this place to for dinning. The place is popular for family dinning.

We came here a couple of years ago and the food was not good which is why we have left is so long to return. Returned today for the first time after a long time and it was brilliant , completely opposite of what it used to be like. The food was amazing and the staff was very polite and helpful, nothing was too much for them. Will be returning more often now :) thank you x

Currently sat watching the England game in The Parsonage. Leanne has made us feel so welcome from the moment we walked in. We've had several drinks so far and all ordered food. Despite the very long wait at the bar (over 20 mins to order drinks and food for some of us) the gentleman serving and Leanne have been so professional. The food came out quickly and the waffles were lovely. We realise with the football on there are probably significantly more customers today but it shouldn't be down to two members of staff to try and do everything. We would definitely come again especially if Leanne is on the bar as she really does make the place.

Went last Thursday and chips were cold, been again for steak night again chips and onion rings cold. Staff checked halfway through meal and did agree chips are left bulk cooked in a warmer. I like my food pipping hot.

Used app to order. Drinks came within 5 minutes but the meal came out at 35 minutes. Must be the cost of living as I felt the portions were small against the cost. Missing bread and butter from order. When it arrived it was wholemeal seeded bread. Server asked if we were told there was no white bread when we ordered. Answer. NO we used the app. Overall average meal at a sticky table that needed to be cleaned. I used a child paper placemat to avoid dirtying my clothes. Enjoyed 2 games of tictactoe! Wasnt asked during the meal if everything was okay. If so I would have explained. Be prepared for a wait even though it was not full. My partner said his chips were cool but his fish was tasty. I had scampi and enjoyed what I received.

Been here a few times, had a couple of big family meals booked and they have been brilliant every single time. They will reserve us an area and when it is time to order the staff put all meals on 1 table number to ensure all food comes out together, food has always come out nice and hot and in good time. Bar staff are brilliant and they have a lovely outside area where you can sit and the kids can play on the adventure equipment.

Nachos came out cold, addressed with staff who offered to heat them, imagine they would have been microwaved. Staff informed that they are served cold, I haven't known nachos to be cold before. Kids pasta bland and sauce not mixed with the pasta, daughter quickly tired of the pasta, garlic bread sticks not cut into sticks. On the plus side, staff are friendly. Many of the vegetarian options couldn't be served, can only imagine there's a stocking issue. Resulted in not being able to get a meal on the deal menu.

Food was OK , half menu not available because of very hot weather. Kitchen staff did a good job despite heat . Downsides where child's pasta dish was bought out on a over hot plate, the server had to give a warning about it. Toddler had to wait for it to cool down. No air con which made the experience uncomfortable.

Went there for breakfast. I was very disappointed with waiting over 33 minutes since my order but the breakfast was okay apart it was cold. So I spoke to the staff about long wait and so got free completely drink. 15 minutes wait or less for order is acceptable for me.

All I can say is that I won't be going the parsonage pub anymore cos because the last few times I've been my food has been partly cold and today I sent it back cos It was cold and the staff need to sort their attitude out with the way she spoke to my friend. My friend had vegan katsu and told the staff member that it didn't taste of anything. The staff members reply was that it was because it was plant based that's why they had no flavour. My friend replied that it should still have flavour and the staff member ignored her. So basically if you are a vegan or vegetarian your food will taste of nothing Don't go there. .

I celebrated my 40th birthday here with my family this evening and both service and food was amazing! Junior had paid special attention to our needs as we had a disabled person with us so moved us a more suitable location making us more comfortable. Excellent service and polite to a T. Was okay, food was pretty average, could tell it was microwaved though, lasagna said mixed leaf lettuce with a dressing, no dressing on it. I asked for chips and ended up getting fries with my meal. The quiz man was in tonight. Always a good night when hes on. Barstaff stood anout when not busy and on phones. Hd no nachos left, considering to me id think this would be quite popular so they would have enough in, changed starters to halloumi sticks instead. Table wasnt cleaned upon arrival very sticky to the touch seems to be left til end of night when closing. Used toilet and seemed to be somewhat a stain on the seat and tissue on the floor.

Excellently cooked and hot breakfast. A master class in what toast is supposed to look like. Toast is supposed to be toasty brown colour just as the chef here cooked it. Black is burnt toast. White is warm bread, and not toast at all. This chef knows his stuff. Excellent. The customer facing staff in a morning are all pleasant and efficient and friendly too.

First visit to this pub. Generally on entering it's fine. Some issues. Table was sticky, long wait from ordering to receiving food. We were told 20 min wait, but we waited 50 mins. 2 meals were only just fine, (chicken wings and burger) but Sunday lunch (chicken) had a very strange texture and taste, food was very overcooked and only lukewarm. I didn't complain as we had already waited far too long. The staff were lovely and were doing their best but only one person serving at the bar so they were very overstretched which could possibly explain issues. So, I would go back one more time during the week to see if it was better at a quieter time and to give it a second chance. Overall not very satisfied as we went for food but stopped at McDonald's on the way home ?.

Very disappointing. Went on a Sunday and even though advertising Sunday lunch, they were not serving that day. Repeating theme that meals advertised are not available. Also quality of meals varies depending which day you go on and which staff are on. We experienced a long wait even though pub was not full. Children's meals brought first, which I like, but were extremely hot, so care required. Understand that with the present circumstances, it is not possible to have a large menu selection, but better to review the menu and revise accordingly.

It nearly got top marks as the food was very nice. However when we ordered mixed grills and the menu tells you what you are getting it was of great disappointment that something was missing and they didn't explain why until we told them of the missing content. It would be polite for them to do this or offer substitute but no they still expect you to pay full price for the food.

Went here with family for a meal I had the steak and I was very pleased with the way was cooked I asked for medium rare and was cooked to perfection. Facilities were very clean staff were very welcoming we would go again definitely. Special thanks to the manager on site junior he made us feel welcome and helped us with the menu. It's a great family environment but there is also a bar separate for adults only too.

I just want to give a massive thank you to the staff at The Parsonage. Earlier today my son had quite a horrible nose bleed, a young gentleman who brought us our food asked if we needed any help and brought us some ice for his nose! As time went on my son's nose was still bleeding quite badly, a first aider from The Parsonage came to us and tended to my son, she calmed him down and also made us feel calm too. A lovely staff member also wrapped up my son's food so we could take it home as he was unable to eat it during that time. The staff at The Parsonage are so lovely and friendly and I am so grateful for all of their help and support (I wish I knew the names of the staff who helped us, you know who you are!) The lovely first aider even made a follow-up call to see how our son was!.. The food is absolutely brilliant too :) They also have a baby menu, our 9 month old enjoyed a nice Heinz tomato and mozzarella pasta shapes dinner! I've never known a restaurant to serve baby food! It was her first pub lunch. Thank you

Post lockdown..Well organized and friendly staff. Only very acceptable short wait for meals.. Economy priced.. varied menu.. what more can you want for the casual meal..

Always great food and friendly staff with good deals through the week. However - soft drinks were very expensive though, £2.75 for a lemonade that doesn't have free refills? Thats why 4 stars and not 5.

Excellent went for breakfast today. The man who greeted us was absolutely brilliant,showed us to use the track and trace system. Food was very nice and reasonably priced. We will visit for breakfast again.

Lovely meal in a relaxed atmosphere. I'd like to recommend Ellie and Liam for their friendliness and service. We ordered Nachos to share which really hit the Spot! Excellent value for money as a starter. We both had Steaks, again lovely Presentation, my only criticism would be that they need to watch the cooking of them, I ordered a medium Rump which came bloody and my Husband ordered Well done Sirloin which came pink. Overall we really enjoyed our meal out.
