Nice friend staff and plenty of bargains and was given free items of food well worth joining
Brilliant place to help stock up when money is tight. Friendly staff.
Bargains to be had. Parking is a bit small but the choice is good & cheap
Good place for bargain food. Very busy and cramped
The staff in there are very friendly & compassionate towards people who are struggling. I can go in there & spend £10 & fill 3 bags & struggle to carry everything home
The staff are wonderful here. My daughter is disabled and feels comfortable coming here. I would recommend it to anyone and find everyone most welcoming. Some wonderful offers. Thankyou x
Keep up the good work guys. Good community hub to rescue food
I went past this place today and was surprised to see several taxis dropping people off to access this hub. Surely, if people can afford taxis they dont need food banks? Cant see the reasoning. I personally used to travel miles on the bus or walk to get to shops.. can someone explain. Also, I saw a man carrying a tray of milk bottles away from the service.. Did he really need so much milk? I think these
Amazed to read some of the "down right awful" reviews that a few people have submitted . Personally I cannot praise the shop nor the staff enough and "Linda" on the sales counter is amazing !! 5 Stars from me .
Wouldn’t even give this place 1 star after the trouble members off staff caused. After spending £60 in this shop, we parked up with disability badges due to a family member not being able to walk far, also while this was happening another family member was still being served in the shop. One of the lovely members off staff walked past and was calling us because we was parked up to another member of staff. We explained to her that we have disabled badges and her attitude changed to the car was parked abit on the curb like many other vehicles. She then walked past with a trolley and She still continued to shout abuse, calling us to other members off staff and other customers. We went into the shop to see where our family member was in the queue so we could leave and still continued to get abuse. She was shouting at other customers stood outside who was just standing there for no reason whatsoever. For my first visit, I definitely won’t be visiting again. You would think these members of staff would be more understanding with people with disabilities and that not every disability is visible. If we was in the way, all it would off took was a very polite please could you move your vehicle and it would off been done. Very very rude. Also I would like to add the women was claiming to everyone we shouted at her, little does she know that I’m also registered deaf and talk abit louder than a usual person. Also another disability that isn’t visible
Great place . You never know what's going to be on offer
Fantastic service, been in a few times Kate ,Kirsty and Maya when I have asked their names have been very well mannered and was happy to help
Amazing shop and stuff and so affordable
Rude person on the phone. Also, there was someone who displayed anti social behaviour who left their premises (worker or customer) and staff did not care. Reported. Thanks for your support.
Weed stinking up carpark with kids there young woman in smoke shed now
Strange setup inside lots of stock but not much prised and it's too busy to find sombody to ask. Some items were a bargain but some close to normal shop prices. Could do with bigger better laid out premises but that costs money granted. Overall it fills a need of sorts.
Visited today in a melt down got bossed around to not open freezer cupboards nor leave my basket alone for a moment. Got home most of food are completely out of date. No wonder I feel ill and sick. Don't make the vulnerable more unwell out of their desperation would prefer to starve
They offer fresh foods at reduced prices. Not bad at all. You pay £2 yearly registration fee
This is a Charity place where you can get things at an affordable price, but you must be a member.
My daughter took me because I can't walk far and the food was decent quality obviously short dated but very cheap wen your struggling on a budget, staff was nice and friendly too
If you can get in for elegant barging past you they don't no what respect to others mean just grab it
So much more than a ' Food Bank ' friendly, helpful staff, good support network and a good array of food and goods.
Got allot of bargains and as usually bought too much lol
The staff are brilliant. In between jobs and left for dead by UC I spoke to the council and got a voucher. I’d not ate for days. What a brilliant place, supported by staff presumably volunteers. We’re all one paycheck short or a denied claim from the streets. Thankyou all!
Value for money need I say more
Great service, something for everyone
Amazing staff they really supportive when I was struggling and they helped me. Really friendly always.
Good deals, not always stocked up, but good
Fantastic place, great selection of food and drink at low prices.. Helping the local community
Very good choice considering, lovely people working there
The customers are always parking on dudble yellow lines having to get the wigan council involved to investigate the case as the customers are parking on dudble yellow lines. Not every one display a disabled badge or not dropping children!
A brilliant idea helps a lot of people in the community and a great way to reduce food waste with a provision for disabled access on request.
Great option for those who are short of money.Great quality food and drinks.
Brilliant use of short dated food always lots of fresh veg. Majority of time lots of free bread & potatoes, great help to struggling low income families
I think there needs to be better pricing instructions as I was a new customer and I felt like I was getting funny looks from people and when I was in line somehow I was talking to was gossiping about people who were getting help with the 10 pound vouchers when they seem that u had one myself they laughed it off and said its a good job I didn't say anything else and it made me feel awkward and made me wonder if others were thinking the same way but I think it's definitely a good thing to have and think the volunteers do a great job
Good service I will recommend
Asda and tescos ain't got shirt on this place. Awesome staff so helpful if only everwhere in the world was like this
Absolutely ? % bargain cumunity place with much more variety and freshness than Blackpool have to say ! Enjoyed my first trip out to you all on Friday. ?
Brilliant place, really helps me out especially with the kids and how high the cost of living is getting. Staff are very friendly.
Nice people. Very helpful
Nice people. Very helpful
Great little place, parking near there is a bit of a nightmare but that's not their fault. I hate food waste so this place is fantastic.
Hi, the reason I put a 4 star is because the shop is only small, and I think it's becoming more popular and busier, not fault of your own, just a but squashy, but overall, it's a great place to get a great deal x
Staff and items superb and a big thanks when we are all suffering from cost of living rises. Without these volunteers I dread to think of were we would all be.
Must visit for all people so good what they are doing there
Good variation of fridge single meals and cerials at the moment
Very cheap, clean shop. Good products, helpfull staff
It's a great place to buy food, even vegan. Good prices. Very nice people.
Costs £2 per year for membership, always cheap.. ❤ is £1 and ? is 50p.. not everything is 50p and a pound somethings like a full box of pot noodles for... I think it was £2... Short on money? No Food? Ring your local council for a £10 card and a years free membership.
Fantastic place , lovely helpful staff :)
Brillant people welcomed by staff helpful kind and great service grateful for all the help there give to general public Happy New
Excellent and helpful staff. Great bargains to be had! Definitely recommend X
The bridge is great value for money ,and is a great prevention of food waste ,the staff are friendly and helpful.
Staff friendly, and I've just come away with a turkey crown. Can't wait to cook it
Always a bargain of some sort. Worth a visit.
Staff are always helpful. Great for when on a budget. Preventing food waste
First visit today but it won't be the last. Thanks to a friend for taking me and will definitely return! Thank you! ?
Lovely little place with great staff thank you for all that you do x
Didn't go inside so can't comment on produce on offer. Purchased an end-of-the-day grab bag instead. Met at the door by pleasant staff. Quick service
Can fill my freezer for at lot less than at the big supermarkets. The staff are lovely as well.
Without the bridge shop I would find it very difficult. The staff are friendly and welcoming. And lot's of variety of food to choose from. There are customers from all walks of life so don't struggle in silence go down and check it out for yourself.
Very helpful place, great food n prices for those on low pay
A brilliant place to buy food and consumables that may be past their best before date. There is also excess food donated from large supermarkets. This helps against food poverty and also landfill.
Fantastic place for the community and surrounding areas. Saving food from going to the landfill and helping those in need. The staff are lovely too! Fantastic if you’re on a budget and especially with the current climate and furlough. Win win really. Prices are labelled with red or green dots for 50p or £1 and far cheaper than the supermarkets for the same products. The work they do beyond the shop too is amazing! Would be great to see more of these places around the country.
