All round great experience, from choosing the carpets to fitting. Helpful and friendly sales staff are at the end of the phone to help answer any questions. Fitting by Mark and Lee(who were very friendly), was very efficient and the house was left spotless. Will definitely recommend Stones Carpets.

7 months agoVery glad we used Stones for our Karndean flooring in our hallway. Although the initial flooring we selected was not suitable (due to a geometric pattern and uneven walls), Stones were helpful in immediately remedying the situation and supporting us through selecting new flooring and getting it installed 1 week later. Cath was particularly helpful, responsive and professional. Thanks to all the team at Stones!

10 months agoLaminate fitted in living room and kitchen,fantastic job.
Lovely reception from Cath,knowledgeable & helpful,in fact the first piece of Laminate she pulled out for us after showing her a photo of our decor we ended up having,was able to take samples home to see what they looked like.
They came out and measured up,provided a couple of quotes for different choices.
Bit of a wait to get it fitted but it was worth it, the fitter did a brilliant job.
Lovely friendly company,would recommend and we won't hesitate to uses them again.

1 year agoThis has been one of the most disappointing experiences in my 40 years. In my opinion, the company showed a serious lack of responsibility and care for its customers. I felt misled throughout the process. If it were possible to leave no stars, I would have.

1 year agoThe carpet fitter Daniel was the only good thing about the whole experience. He had to cut the carpet outside on the pavement that added an extra day of considerable upheaval.
I have been left with metres of perfectly good carpet that is enough to re-do my hall, stairs and landing in the future. I wasn't given the more economical option when purchasing that would have saved such wastage at £38 per metre. The manager did apologise and offered to put it in the remnants room for sale but it is all in pieces and doesn't look very appealing.
I was not made aware of the extra costs of removing the old carpets and shaving the doors either. Luckily they had already been taken up but it would have been another £450 for the uplift.
Whilst the sales person concerned is no longer with the company it was still a very poor service.

1 year agoChosing and getting the carpet and flooring for a whole house from them was great. However, the karndean flooring has lifting- well within the warranty. I have made over 15 calls to Stones to arrange repair. I have chase and chased them and have been promised calls back which do not happen. I have stayed in all day twice when I have actually been told someone is coming and no one turned up. The after care service is absolutely atrocious and is now becoming farcical. Would not recommend this company who don't even have the decency to call back. Growing increasingly frustrated.

Daniel and Nicole worked very hard and gave attention to detail, throughout.
They were very polite and professional.

1 year agoI have just had my whole house fitted by stones. The service was amazing from start to finish from choosing flooring to the fitting. The shop had so much selection I was given great advice as to which colour style to go for.would definitely use you guys again thanks so much

Just had carpet and vynl fitted to 3 rooms.
Simon, the manager came out to see us extremely promptly and sorted my quote within the hour. Very experienced man. We were happy with the choice available in the shop.
A lady called Charlotte assisted with fitting dates and due to increased carpet thickness arranged for our bedroom door to be shaved. We are happy with the results.

2 years agoSo disappointed with the service after using this place for 5 years I’ll never use again. Waited in and cancelled clients for 2 days and still no carpet fitted , my daughter is currently sleeping on the couch as they asked for the room to be emptied. No apology just “well it’s not my fault” over text. I understand things happen but how you handle a customer afterwards is very important I’ll never use again because of this I’m so disappointed. You’ve lost a valuable cash paying customer just as our full upstairs is due to be re carpeted too.

2 years agoNice customer service and nice fitting. However if you come in the shop everywhere flashing sale sale. Even prices of the carpets seems to be smaller. But than in the end the final price is double.its very costy service. Invoice is not much clear so not sure if cost more carpet or labour.

4 years agoI do not recommend you get Amtico from here the service as been the worst possible. After been promised 5 times they will come back out to fix a lifting plank they still haven’t been with no reason why or apology. I’m just being ignored!

4 years agoMade to feel so welcome after visiting a non interested other well known carpet shop in Leigh. Good choice of carpets at a very reasonably price. Was very happy with the quality of the carpets and was happy to place an order. They even came out to check our measurements. Obviously waiting for the fitting but was only asked to pay a small deposit beforehand. It's so nice these days to feel like service matters, and this company hit the spot. Would definitely recommend a visit.

5 years agoHaving never been here before, we stopped by to look into getting some Karndean flooring. We were so impressed about how hard they worked to help us find what we wanted, that we are having them (gradually) replace the flooring in our whole house! They are very knowledgeable and we are now looking into getting some carpet too. They didn't just try to push the expensive stuff but gave us some carpet books to take home. The sheet vinyl we had installed was excellent and was far cheaper than another certain popular warehouse-based flooring place nearby with much better customer service. Would recommend them to anyone.

5 years agoGood quality carpet but wrong size when it arrived. We’ve had to have a join put in as it was cut at the wrong size.
Carpet fitters arrived and I hadn’t been told specific time (only mid to late morning) luckily I hadn’t nipped out.
