The whole team have been so amazing to us. They have been so kind and caring and offered us so much love and support. They have made a difficult time a little more easy. You will not be disappointed using this company, they could not have given us anymore than they did. The most gorgeous people. Thank you, and I know you’ll all keep up the good work.

1 year agoTo be able to give R Banks & son’s Leigh branch 5 stars seems to be an understatement. They all made what was the hardest time, easier for us as a family. The kindness, professionalism, and thoughtfulness they show will never be forgotten. The support shown by Deb & Lynne was there from the very first moment to the very last ,when we picked up my dad’s ashes. Dave who drove us was a gent and just the best , he did my dad proud. The extra touch of having a jaguar on the coffin was so thoughtful and is something we will never forget. As a family we would recommend R Banks & son 100% and honestly we can’t thank everyone at the Leigh branch enough.

1 year agoI can't praise this company enough. The Leigh branch, with Deborah and her team, are the most professional, caring and considerate firm. They made our dad's funeral a very special and moving experience. The celebrant, that was selected by Deborah, was also able to present my father in a series of amusing anecdotes that started at my fathers early years of a small boy, to adulthood. This reminded everyone of the good times we all had.

From us walking in to arrange the funeral to your care of my precious Dad and supporting us throughout that sad time, you made us feel so welcome , it was like talking to a friend. Deborah and Lynne your were amazing as were the drivers . You all made it all so special and so easy . You took your time and listened Not only that , I felt how much you care and are dedicated to your job , going over and above for us. The whole experience with Deborah was outstanding, she could not do enough for us! I will be forever grateful for the care and compassion given to us.

1 year agoFrom the start I walked into banks in leigh were I met a lady called deb. Who from the start made me feel comfortable and supported me through the hardest time of my mums passing was traumatic at the time Deb was amazing and compassionate and caring through out from start to finish.Dave who drove the limousine was a true Gentleman on the day he picked up my sister in style.And the rest of us at my family home The limousine was immaculate inside and out.And also thanks to Wendy who was right at side of us on the day.I would Highley recommend using R banks funeral services. Deb and Nicola have been very compassionate, supportive and sensitive throughout the traumatic process and helped us give our mum the best send off we could have given her. 1 year agoWe're do I start....walking out of the hospital without your dad holding information for arranging a funeral was numbing but wanting the very best for your loved one is paramount. We chose banks as we had previous family members their and we had only heard lovely things. From the very first appointment Debbie treated us with compassion, comfort and care, just what we needed as a family who was broken. Debbie was clear and softly spoken when taking her time to go through everything we needed to know and gave us time to breathe and think when we needed it. Debbie makes the best cup off Yorkshire tea along with a comforting presence. My son of 7 visited his grandad with the support of Debbie making him calm and comforted along with myself , mum and brother she made us all feel so welcome and stayed professional but friendly at the same time. My dad was everything we wanted him to look like and this was down to the team at banks. We cannot thankyou enough for all your compassion, care, support and professionalism at one of our hardest times. I would recommend everyone to use banks if you would like the comfort of your loved one being in a caring environment with staff that go above and beyond , thankyou Carol, Stephanie-Jane, Andrew and family x

1 year agoI lost my dad a few weeks ago, i contacted deb a few days after to sort out funeral arrangements. Deb is so compassionate and friendly she made everything at ease, the whole team are so friendly and lovely I would highly recommend this funeral service thankyou all so much, deb Nicola Dave and the rest of the team you truely are 1 of a kind and I know dad would of been really appreciative for everything you all did, couldn’t thank you all enough god bless to you all wonderful team ❤️

1 year agoAbsolutely 💯 outstanding! My daughter’s daddy sadly passed away and R. Banks & sons funerals made everything so easy and stress free to help organise everything. Deborah and Lynne have been extremely supportive and went out of their way to go above and beyond for my 10 year old daughter. Can’t thank you all enough for everything. 1 year agoJust wanted to say a huge thankyou to Deborah at R Banks Leigh who arranged the funeral for our precious Mum Irene . The kindness and compassion you have shown our family at this most difficult time will stay with us forever . The service you put together captured the very essence of our Mum from start to finish , there were of course tears but also lots of smiles and laughter - thankyou for that ❤ . Being able to visit Mum in such a calm and peaceful environment has brought such comfort . R Banks and Son as a company are true professionals , their kind , caring , empathic and compassionate staff are a credit to them . 1 year agoOutstanding service. Every person we spoke to was so helpful and understanding, nothing was too much trouble. Losing our sister was heartbreaking, Debbie helped us so much, added personal touches that gave us alot of comfort. We can't thank you all enough for the care you took, the advice you gave and the service you provided. You truly made one of the hardest times of our lives a little easier.

1 year agoMum recently passed away. We contacted R Banks within 12 hours of Death and they were just outstanding Everything was arranged by Debs in Leigh and she was beyond impecable. She treated the death with the upmost dignity, treated mum with the respect she deserved while in rest and is currently holding the ashes until her burial with Dad is ready. For me there is no other funeral directors I would rather use. James

2 years agoI cannot recommend R.Banks & Son Funerals highly enough. Deborah was so warm and friendly during the initial telephone conversation that I was immediately put at ease. Everything was organised so professionally and efficiently by Deborah who was always available to give advice and guidance. The kindness and compassion shown to family members was second to none and the fact that our loved one was so very well cared for was of great comfort to us all. I appreciated the home visit by Lynne to discuss the funeral day which again was done with such care and sensitivity, and organised to perfection. Thank you so much.

2 years agoHighly recommended. Debbie at the Leigh branch is definitely in the right job, she is so compassionate, understanding and knowledgeable. From our first visit the day after Mum died and all the way through, Debbie has been there for us and helped us through a very difficult time. Nicola was there for us on the day of the funeral and Dave the driver who were both a great comfort.

2 years agoDeborah has been absolutely amazing. From the minute we went in she was kind and courteous. She made a very difficult time that bit easier . She went above and beyond with every interaction. She looked after Dad and all of us. So very glad we chose Deborah to look after him on his final journey. All the arrangements done to perfection, even Janice and the drivers showed the upmost respect. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

2 years agoI cannot fault Banks’s funeral service. They have been excellent at every stage from first being contacted to collecting our Mum to her being in the funeral home, to the church and on to the cemetery. Even the florist recommendation was excellent. The whole team have been amazing, knowing just what to say and offering guidance and reassurance. A special mention has to go to Deb who was with us every step of the way, including after the funeral. She could not do enough for us. Every family member has felt at ease and the way she looked after Mum was like a Queen. The whole experience allowed us to celebrate the wonderful life of our 102 years old Mum thanks to the professional team at Banks’s. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

2 years agoThis is the third time my family have used R Banks & Son Funerals on Railway Road in Leigh. Each time we’ve been made to feel so welcome by Deb, Alison and Lynne. The most recent time has been for my beautiful little mum. They made sure every little detail was thought through, looked after her so well, offered good advice and made it as special as it could possibly be. I couldn’t fault anything and would 100% recommend them. They are all such genuine people and as I wrote in their thank you card… they should be proud of the people they are, the job that they do and the difference they make to people’s lives and losses. ?

2 years agoCould not recommend r banks and son highly enough, Deb at the leigh branch was absolutely amazing with her guidance and advice and really made our whole experience so much easier. The way Deb speaks of the people in her care shows she clearly loves her job and is amazing at it. From start to finish she was with us every step of the way and nothing was too much trouble. Thankyou Deb, you are amazing at what you do which certainly made me feel our loved one was still being cared for until it was time to say goodbye!x

2 years agoFrom start to finish deb and the team at Leigh was there for every step of the way from emotional support to answering any questions we had it lifted such a big weight of our shoulders nothing was too much trouble Janice was amazing on the day and Dave who drove our car was the nicest man you could meet so sincere and showed lots of compassion all in all the team there was amazing and I would highly recommend thankyou to each and everyone of you as you made the hardest time of our lives that bit easier x

2 years agoWe have used the Banks funeral service three times before unfortunately but fortunately both at the same time, and didn't hesitate to go straight back there despite my mum having already sorted everything out herself, Deborah was brilliant, even though I had gone through this before with my dad and both my in- laws it doesn't make it any easier Deborah new just what to say and in which direction to point me, the whole team were absolutely wonderful I can't express enough my gratitude thank you ALLLLLL OF YOU Trac'e

From the initial contact with Lynne through to dealing with Deborah at the Leigh brach, their service was outstanding. They were so professional and listened to what we wanted. They also provided much needed emotional support throughout the whole process. I would highly recommend them.

2 years agoA funeral home that's not just a funeral home it's a home that treat you like family. Very caring, considerate and to feel confident your loved one is resting in the right place before there final journey. Excellent service all round and lovely staff.

2 years agoNot the place anyone wants to visit. Deb from the Leigh office has now twice assisted me with the organising of a family funeral. No distance is too great or request too much. Never once felt pressured into making decisions . A service that you can rely on.

3 years agoI have recently lost both parents within 3 months of each other. Both funerals have been carried out by Banks. They have been compassionate and professional in every way. I would highly recommend Banks to handle your loved ones funeral.
