I took my cat Alfie this morning and I have to say what an amazing place, the staff are lovely and so helpful, we arrived early so rather than wait in the waiting room they gave us a buzzer so we could wait in the car and they let us know when to go in, what a great idea, the Vet was amazing and really gentle with him, absolutely first class, Alfie didn't mind at all in fact he curled up on the table when the Vet had examined him. Thank-you so much from all of us and not forgetting Alfie.

3 years agoBrought Maddie in to be euthanised 3 weeks ago. She was from cats protection. Started off life in Salford, found in a garage covered in ticks, fleas & oil. Was thrown at a Police officer called Maddie (hence the name) by her previous owner and passed on to cats protection
She was crazy came with a water pistol. First time we let her out she ran laps round the garden panting like a dog. She chased sheep, attacked a Jehovah Witness at the door for wearing fluffy boots, attacked the kids socks as they walked passed in the house and was exceptionally grumpy.
But she was obsessed with me, wouldn't stop licking my hair? Came to bed every night after crawling over the girlfriends face to sleep under my arm. 4 weeks ago we found out she had a tumor.
Didn't notice the weight loss in the back legs at first, as she had recently had a cruciate ligament operation (different veterinary) and was already a bit skinny. To say I was devastated would be an understatement. The most unique, fearless, cantankerous cat ever, I do miss her.
Credit due the service and the two lasses who we delt with were very professional. Having to do that job and deal with owners who if they were as upset as myself & Emma can't be easy. This practice is held in high regard by its customers for a reason. You have all my respect, thank you.

4 years agoWe brought our beloved 9 year old cat today to be euthanized. The vets, the nurses and receptionist Amy were all wonderful, so attentive, compassionate and understanding; giving us time to spend together before and after. Highly recommended and will bring our future furry family here. Thank you so much for making a difficult process so thoughtful x

4 years agoWe switched to My Pets Vets after being disappointed with our previous one and I'm so glad we did! The reception staff are very polite and always helpful and their prices are very reasonable compared to others. The main thing for us is the way they are with the animals, our dog is large but very nervous and can be reactive, but they handle her beautifully, she's never afraid of going here and we finally have her allergies under control. I cannot recommend My Pets Vets highly enough, they are brilliant ?

4 years agoCan not describe how great the service is here. The vets go above and beyond and despite what a couple of other reviewers have put, this place is great value and cheaper than other vets in my experience. They always put Buddy (my pup) at the centre of the care they give. We have paid at a later date when they have been busy so I’m not sure where some of the money orientated comments have come from, from my personal experience.

4 years agoI grew disheartened with my current vets and planned to register my pets locally.. however before I got the chance my cat was injured and I called my pets vets for an emergency appointment. They registered us on the phone and got us in within the hour. Sorted the cats wounds out, antibiotics, pain killers and gave me all the aftercare needed and I was amazed to find out that it hadn't cost me a fortune.
By comparison my previous vets had looked at runny eye a few months earlier on a none emergency and charged me more than this...whilst also pushing me to pay for further unnecessary tests.
This experience with my pets vets restored my faith in vets and I will definitely not be going anywhere else in future. Thankyou

5 years agoThe receptionist was very rude.....I took my dog here so called had a water infection after medication he's still poorly but yet I have to call at 8:30am in the morning to get a appointment. When I asked what the price would be...would I still have to pay for a consultation AGAIN! she stated yes! Your dog is your responsibility....I know this but yet you can't him in until I ring up at 8:30. Changed vets straight away.

5 years agoThe vets here do not know the difference between blue merle and black and white border collies. Paper work filled out incorrectly by the vet. When i complained to manager was told "if you dont like it your free to go else where". Well i will go else where. Rude staff rude manager, save ur money and do as they say, go else where

5 years agoDefinetely the best vet practice we have ever been with! Very flexible with appointments, available 24/7, always happy to give advice and guidance. We have 3 cats and for the past year had to use the practice on a few occasions and the care given to our cats has been of the highest standard. We are so happy there is a local practice, which we can 100% trust!
Our cat Ollie has been poorly past few days and special thanks to the vet Mateusz - very kind and caring, he continued to update us regularly as we had to keep our Ollie at the practice overnight. He has done all sort of tests and assessments to rule everything out and give us a full diagnosis, we are ever so grateful!

5 years agoWe brought bentley our rottweiler here in march 2020 when he became unwell, we muzzled him as every vet we have been to before had always muzzled him as they were scared of him! We couldn't go into his appointment with him due to covid but Maria handle him fantastic he even came out without his muzzle on, we had to take him back in November as he became unwell again and he was handled and treated like a king, they managed get bloods, sedate him and operate, he was like a puppy again, but unfortunately he fell ill again feb 2021 we took him in and they tried anti sickness meds these didn't work after few hours they rushed him back in and did xray and ultrasound due to him constantly vomiting and loosing weight in a matter of hours, unfortunately bentley became to weak to fight and couldn't have any more tests or operations, they rang us and gave us the option to go in and see him, which we did we was lead to a private room where our beautiful benfley waited for us they gave us as long as we wanted with him before and after he went over the rainbow bridge, they sat and discussed all our options for cremating him, today we went to picked bentleys ashes up and they gave me his paw print and a lock of his hair, thank you for all you did for bentley and for your compassion at such an awful time x

5 years agoThis wonderful vets stepped in when my greyhound Nell badly cut her side. It was out of hours but when I rang them there was no hesitation in seeing her. They stitched her up and looked after her overnight. I think the vet who operated was called Diogo and he was lovely. Very informative and reassuring. She was discharged the following morning by the lovely Ellie.I cannot thank them enough for the care that Nell received and would recommend this practice to anyone. The price was amazing too, I was expecting miles more. Thankyou guys so very much ?

5 years agoHad a bad experience with this vets and lost my beloved dog at a young age. They could not give me an explanation as to what exactly caused his death as he died in their care.
I will not be using this vets again.

5 years agoThese guys are absolutely brilliant so caring polite and patient with people and there pets honestly wouldn't go anywhere else and kind on the pocket really took the stress from me having to take two on my own but we got through it my dogs like the staff so happy customer thank you all take care stay safe

6 years agoAfter being with this practice for a while,and now living out of area,I find it impossible to find other vets as compassionate and caring.So returned to the practice and now my dogs allergies are back under control,and my other dog is as active as a pup,despite having issues with her leg!Very welcoming staff throughout,and accomodating to one of my nervous dogs needs upon visiting,therefore reducing stress all round.

7 years agoExcellent vets ,regularly visitor due to dogs (Floyd) ongoing treatment.Vets are extremely helpful and informative and do thier level best to ensure your pet is in good hands
