3 years agoI ordered pizza, cheesy garlic bread and curly fries through Ubereats. The order came a little late, which I wasn't bothered about, but the pizza base was overcooked, black in places. The toppings were nice though. The curly fries were very chewy - obviously done way before and microwaved. The saving grace was the garlic bread, but again not good enough to justify the price of the meal. I won't be ordering again unfortunately.

3 years agoMy order didn’t arrived phoned up delivery driver said he give it to my kids my kids r too young to answer door so they said will do my order again but still no food it’s been 3 hours now since I ordered

3 years agoJust had a kebab from here it was disgusting meat was hard never had bad one from here but this one was bad chewy wife had a pizza she said not as good as usual I left my kebab never been known b4

4 years agoOrdered at 9.45pm, came just after 11pm. Pizza tasted fine but wasn’t hot. Paid for extra mushrooms and didn’t get any.

4 years agoOrdered Spag Bol and a Pizza at 7.30pm on a Sunday evening. Advised the delivery would be 8.30pm.
At 9.28pm I received a phone call saying they didn’t have the ingredients for a Spag Bol, took 2 hours for them to realise ??♀️
Then I got told it would be another 20 mins for delivery! Shocking!

4 years agoPlaced a order at 9.50 on a Saturday night and it arrived at 10.20, all order was correct only burger and fries for me and my lad.. all tasted fine.
Delivery woman was friendly enough.
If I’d read majority of the reviews here beforehand I’d not ordered ? but yea can’t complain was all okay for me.

5 years agoOrdered last night they rang me to cancel my order coz they had ran out of things but it would of cost me 50% to cancel so I rang them back and explained and they just didnt say anything and put the phone down and did pick back up after that never going here again

5 years agoDO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!First time we ordered it was 2 hours late,they said they thought we was picking it up,even though they asked for our address.Second time we ordered we asked for a pizza,chips,kebab and dips,on delivery there was no pizza and
no dips so had to ring them about no pizza they said sorry but pizza still in oven

5 years agoWhy when you ring up to order food do you get put on hold? Then you put the phone down? That’s shocking customer service. I understand that business’ will get busy and can’t cope with the demand in orders, but why not just explain you’re extremely busy? My dad has turned up at the take away and told to come back 45 minutes later, then when tried to phone up the phone is off the hook... we refuse to order through just eat as it takes on average an hour and a half to be delivered and the food comes cold.
My family have ordered from here for many years, but due to the appalling customer service we’ll go elsewhere.

5 years agoI go to this lovely place many times a year! This is the best place to eat. I visit this place at least once a month. The meals are fantastic, the workers are professional and the charge is decent. I like going in this spot over a nice dinner.

6 years agoNew owners - Unfortunately, the thickness and taste of the pizzas have slipped since the new owners have taken over and the cost of the pizzas have skyrocketed. Disappointed.
(previously rated 5 stars under old owners) - I know I'll always get a good pizza at Maximillian's. Reasonably priced with friendly service, their pizzas are super tasty and you can even order a 50/50 pizza which is great if you're sharing (one set of toppings one side, different set on the other).

6 years agoOh Maximillians what has happened? I’ve been a customer for over 20 years and since the new owners have taken over, I have to say the pizza’s have gone down hill fast, they really are just awful now☹️. The thinnest pizza base I have ever seen and so much grease, not a good combination. You lift a slice to leave a puddle of grease in the tray because it’s soaked through the ridiculously thin base. And why does it look orange? I certainly couldn’t taste Red Leicester on it.
£12.40 for a large pizza and 10” garlic bread with cheese. I ate the lot coz I was starving and now I’ve got heart burn and I’M STILL HUNGRY ???

6 years agoGreat service! Just visited here for the first time. Very clean restaurant and very polite staff. The food was some of the best I ever had. The pizza was as fresh as can be, onion rings crispy and not soggy, fries very nice and no greasy taste and the garlic bread with cheese topped the meal off. Very happy people .
The selection and prices are reasonable also. No complaints here!
