I took my classic golf for a pre mot inspection as it has been off the road for a good few years in storage .They then went through all my options and provided additional recommendations to do at the same time, as the required repairs to save repeat visits in the near future. All work was done with genuine parts .The car provided them with a few additional issues which is expected with a car of its age, four bolts were rounded off and stuck, this took them alot of additional time to resolve. They didnt add any additional hidden charges , the price we discussed and agreed , was all they requested.All parts that was changed were left in the boot of the car with all the boxes of the new parts ,when i collected the car they spent the time in showing and explaining every changed part and the reasons for changing them.

2 years agoWhile taking our two year old son to nursery, my six months pregnant wife heard a loud bang from the back of the car. This was followed by a constant rattling noise. Obviously concerned, she limped the car into the nearest garage which happened to be here, Leigh MOT Centre @ Welch Mill.
To say we are happy with the service is an understatement. The guys at Leigh MOT Centre obviously considered my wife's position. Pregnant, stressed, and caring for a two year old with a vehicle that was found to be no longer safe to drive, so, also, STRANDED.
The rear suspension spring had snapped, something I thought would require the car to be in the garage for a few days. The part was ordered straight away, and fitted within a few hours. The work was also done for a very reasonable price. Especially considering the urgency that was applied to the situation.
I can't recommend this garage enough. Thanks to all who helped!

2 years agotook van in for mot on thursday he failed it for emissions told me it needed diesel pump took it it back friday had nothing done to it
passed? how does that work? this man was trying to rip me off
wonder how many people has he conned. also told me my starter motor was ok got auto electrician to check the starter motor the auto electrician found it to be faulty and needed to be replaced this man is a LIAR take my advice stay well clear of this garage.
will be contacting dvsa he must not be allowed to continue telling people lies and getting very aggressive when challenged
the mans a joke I'm sure he will get his comeuppance the final
conclusion is hes a very rude and aggressive nature and just
a horrible piece of work

2 years agoI wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.
I took my for service and mot the oil hadn't been changed, and front brake caliper was loose meaning the brake pads nearly come out, Shabby workmanship and the manager was very ignorant.
Trading Standards will be in touch with them.

3 years agoAbsolutely shocking experience. Car failed an MOT with 7 major and costly defects. After realising that some does not make sense considering the performance of the car took it to a different garage and it passed first time with no advisories. Says a lot about the place.

They carry out dodgy MOT's! I have reported them to DVSA and police!
They carried out a test on the 16/8/21 which should have failed but they passed the car for a garage I bought a car from!

5 years agoI booked the car in asking for an mot for a Friday morning. I took my car in on time for 9..30. At 11 I rang to ask if it was ready or could be ready for 12. I got told it had not been done it was in a queue. I asked why I had been asked to bring it in for 9.30am if it was only going to be done in the afternoon. No apology was given, no reasonable reason for the delay. I am a nurse, I had to take a half days leave to get this done then go on a shift. The man in charge has clearly too large an ego and is disrespectful and greedy. Don't book your car here for an mot unless you can afford to leave it indeffinately.
