1 year agoRude security man!! Words were “we have dummies coming in” because the shop was closing in 10 minutes I was already at the tills getting served for one item. Thankfully the lady at the till was lovely and agreed that it was rude and made me feel welcome

1 year ago**TERRIBLE SERVICE** The lady who administers the flu jabs lacks any basic care or attention. 1. Does not clean or sanitise her hands /wear gloves before the jabs are administered. We watched her walk round the store prior to our jabs and questioned this and her response was they are clean enough. 2. Refused to give us a tissue or a plaster after the jab when blood was flowing from the arm 3. We wanted a plaster to avoid any blood getting on our top which it did unfortunately TERRIBLE service and we will not use this branch of boots ever again for our Flu Jabs

1 year agoTerrible service at the pharmacy and everything massively overpriced. Many items twice the price of local shops, selling similar products. Stroppy unhelpful woman on front till 15/08/24.

1 year agoThis used to be such a lovely store years ago, but boy have things gone down hill. There always appear to be more staff than customers and judging by their atrocious customer service, it's hardly surprising. I visited the store yesterday with my mother who asked one of the long term staff who's worked in this store for many years, so really should be better at demonstrating decent customer service, a simple query regarding a product only to be rudely snapped at more than once. I personally will never set foot in this store ever again and am extremely unhappy at the way my mother was treated. I really wouldn't be surprised if this store closed down soon, it's decaying and lifeless.

2 years agoReally poor customer service I ask for something a health item the lady with red hair was really rude not being helpful she had a loud tone saying oh no we don't do that here and don't have that in walked out went else where. And you get nasty looks from the bodyguard watching you every move you make. Feeling really uncomfortable Making you like you are about to steal something.

2 years agoI went to collect my prescription. The staff were really nice. The store however looks like it could do with a spruce up and a lick of paint, it's looking tired.

2 years agoReally poor Customer Service received inside the store. Asked the question and instead of the answer I have been told off from a staff member-"I just came here to help from the pharmacy, I do not make the rules". It is unacceptable to treat people that way. Clearly staff needs more training from CS.

2 years agoSo was visiting family in Leigh and needed a valid EU/ EEA percription filled. I think the staff at the pharmacy need further training coming from a professionally qualified nurse. If you have a valid EU/ EEA prescription for antibiotics for a severe painful infection (of which can legally still be filled in the UK as EU/EEA prescriptions are still valid in the UK, even after Brexit) which is the law and never had any other problems at other Boots pharmacy's just this one in leigh twice. Do not bother going to get them filled here at this pharmacy which was the 2nd time I visited this specific Boots and each time not a positive experience. My encounter with the pharmacy assistant Not the pharmacist, apparently called Sue (S luggish, U seless, E xhausting) (04/08/2023) at the pharmacy counter was absolutely jaw droppingly shocking, the lady stated "we close in 20 minutes" and then followed by "go the the pharmacy across the road" I was shocked and then the assistant basically gave me a load of verbal dribble that she basically couldn't be bothered to fill my prescription oh and by the way she stated to me that apparently "were not in the EU anymore" NSSherlock. I didn't know that. To add there was a bird flying around the store and the staff seemed more engaged on the pigeon rather than doing their jobs and assisting customers. If I could give 0 stars I would. Overall absolutely useless, I suggest traveling further to Manchester Boots or Boots Trafford Centre. But still remain a loyal customer of Boots just not this one as they are inept and feckless. If your in leigh and need emergency antibiotics head to Peak Pharmacy up the road absultely positive experience there twice! Just not at Boots Leigh ?

2 years agoUsed once after being given an emergency prescription from Leigh infirmary ,, Staff refused politely I may add to accept it !!!. Excuse given was that they couldn’t read the consultants writing ???????. Luckily the Atherton Store found a way to validate and check the prescription and provide me with the medication URGENTLY needed - perplexed by the ordeal frankly. Thank you Boots Atherton

3 years agoForgot myself recently and called into boots pharmacy Leigh. Staff member abrupt and unhelpful, similar to previous visit a while ago after which I switched chemists to Tim's and Parker. Tim's and Parker are great, politeness and helpfulness are the norm there in my experience.

6 years agoI could not make my mind up what to buy for my very sore little toe because it has now developed into a very painful corn, A very polite and friendly young girl approached me and went above and beyond to help me choose the right product to solve my problems. I regret not getting her name as I can only describe her as having brown hair and glasses, with a great personality and a clear passion for her job and helping people.
