Food was very dry. Bbq ribs was not the best. Duck rolls was okay tbf. Chips are bone dry like eating sand paper. Curry source underwhelming. The lad who answered the phone was very polite. Rice was average

1 year agoHad a lovely meal from here tonight. Food was fresh, tasty and well served. The portions where excellent. We ordered for 8 of us and not one of us could fault any of the food. Definitely our new chinese take away. Thank you

1 year agoHad a takeaway again from here last night and it was 10/10. Chicken and sweetcorn soup was AMAZING! The rib meat fell off the bone. We also had sweet and sour chicken and chicken in black bean which was beautiful. Well worth a visit for a really decent Chinese takeaway

2 years agoNever had a more enjoyable meal anywhere else. Friendly welcoming staff who are like friends, and the young man currently accepting telephone orders is a credit to Bamboo. Polite, precise & orders arrive perfect

2 years agoI've been ordering from here for years. Absolutely gorgeous food, every time. Some complain about the chips (which aren't great, to be fair), but it's a Chinese Takeaway and if you love Chinese food, I couldn't recommend it more. You won't be disappointed.

Soups, chop suey rolls, Thai wings, OK ribs, salt & pepper chicken, noodles, crispy seaweed. Always delicious ?

4 years agoOnly ever go to this Chinese but tonight it was honestly the best yet. I ordered sweet and sour half and half with vegetable spring rolls. Would definitely recommend ?

4 years agoI have been here quite alot through the years and I think it's changed hands a few times as I have heard very mixed reviews. At the moment, it's my main Chinese. Food is tasty, good quality and when I come to collect, they are very quick and it is hot.

Food really hot and fresh. Highly recommended.
However they are a touch expensive and the lack of card payments is a pain when no-one really carrys cash anymore because of covid.
Also the lack of being able to order on any apps or website is a pain.
Other than that. Love this place.

5 years agoWe will not be buying from here again. There was very little chicken in the Chicken Foo Yung, just more egg to fill it out. Also no onions, as is in the recipe. It was very bland tasting and needed soy sauce to give it some flavour. No curry whatsoever in the Shrimp Curry, just shrimp and fried rice. The chips were overdone, too as if they'd been recooked. Avoid if you like a good Chinese meal. We will never go elsewhere again when Mandarin is closed.

5 years agoNever have I been charged for delivery until today, portion size nowhere near what they used bring and the chowmein I ordered was very dry and overwhelming with ginger, plus asked for no prawn came with prawns. Would recommend for the £7.50 it cost me for people to go elsewhere if they don't want to be disappointed, ridiculous is all I can say, chowmein not even worth 1star never alone £7.50

5 years agoPortions are getting smaller, yet the price keeps going up. Now get charged for delivery. The food is Ok, but not worth the price.
