2 years agoI have visited this library many times and I have had never experienced any issues. I enjoy picking a book off of the shelf and sitting by the window as I read, the suns rays shimmering along to page. There’s a very large selection of books to choose from, I usually find myself drawn towards the comics. It has a very good atmosphere and would be a great place to study or work. I highly recommend taking a trip down to leigh library and getting yourself a library card.

2 years agoNo point in using their computers as you are.only allowed to copy 5 to 10 sheets of paper ,no wonder they are closing these places they are a waste of time for public use ,,tried to do some copies for school children ,not allowed ,it's a wonder you can sneeze without being asked to leave, useless no help for public use .

2 years agoStaff aren’t very friendly. Only came to print a quiz in colour as my own printer isn’t the best. Told I could only print 5 pages. I was given 5 pages of the exact same page!! My quiz is on 2 pages so the whole first page was missing. Just useless.

3 years agoVery disappointed ,, it was a favourite haunt of mine decades ago and in truth I ventured in out of curiosity and I’m a miserable old Gi@ that doesn’t like change and changed it has for the worse ,, it’s not a library anymore is it ? ,, they closed a good one in Atherton “Unforgivable”. With the age of the internet I wonder how long it will stay open ?? ,,, Sad

3 years agoMy childhood library. It's changed dramatically inside. I'm not fond that it is now been overtaken by citizens advice and wigan government.

5 years agoDecent sized library. New scanners for taking and returning books work much better than the old ones. The newspaper section has been reduced due to cutbacks. Most of the staff are helpful.

6 years agoMy son and I have been coming here since we moved. It's great, lots going on and friendly staff! We went to storytime today and they threw a little Xmas party with party food, games, and Santa came with presents for all the children! My son loved it and best of all library kids groups are free!
