1 year agoManager have agreed to buy my GoPro, but asked me to bring a clip for it. When I was back, He changed his mind. Awful customer service. I was not happy for wasting my time travelling home and back just to be told "sorry I can't buy it" not coming back again to this store again. Kids running the place

1 year agoI went to this one instead of the wigan one as the reviews were better.
That being said I went into the leigh one today to sell my galaxy tab s6 that I've had from new. Was told the cash price i would receive after they've "tested" it, after 45 minutes I went back for them to tell me that it failed the "test" as the screen is popping out top and bottom.... I've had this in a case and bought it brand new and never dropped it. I tried to look where they showed me and there was no "damage" at all as I expected.
Not sure what kind of scam they're pulling but I'll be selling all my other products elsewhere and I'll get more money for them too.
Also when I went back to pick up my so called "faulty" tablet they gave me the wrong charging cable, I knew straight away as it was a Samsung product and they gave my an apple charger 😂 and it was a different colour 😂 they also couldn't find the S pen at first... very unorganised and not very good at testing products.
It's a shame that they lost out on my money and my business.

1 year agoCEX is a second hand store that Sells a variety of products from laptops,tablets,cameras through to DVDs and blue rays
I have always found the staff who
work here to be very helpful,friendly,polite and above all else very professional
Highly recommended if you looking for a decent specification laptop,tablet or anything else for that matter ? ? ? ?

2 years agoCeX gets a bad rep because the prices for selling an item can be somewhat of a slap in the face. However it is important note that the employees working don’t make those prices and they usually are quite friendly and helpful and there is a good selection of stuff to browse so I give it points for that.
That said I would use music magpie for selling phones, I took an iPhone and at CeX they’d of given £300 but at the music magpie self check out I got £500.
So I would recommend CeX for browsing and buying but not selling.

2 years agoJust purchased an apple watch from this store. Given I was an Android user previously, I had no clue as to what I should buy.
The staff (all 3 of them, including the manager) were extremely friendly and helpful, and helped me understand what I needed that would work with my phone.

3 years agoI think this one of the best way to recycle products. Staff seemed very helpful and friendly. No issues so far. I also really like their 2 years guarantee. Back to Assassin's Creed , now :).

3 years agoGreat prices for collecting games and consoles, picked up many games and an almost mint condition Gameboy Colour from here. The staff here show great service, one who sticks out was from Lucy Glover, as the service was superb and upbeat!

4 years agoBought a game for £48, was told I could bring it back if I don't like it within 2 days no problems. Brought it back & was told I was only allowed store credit only. I had to get them to buy it off me for £31.I won't ever be going in again. An absolute joke!!!!

4 years agoI had an absolutely brilliant experience today in store when I took in my Google Pixel (bought online just under a year ago) which had developed a fault. Jamie quickly verified the issue, processed a refund for the faulty one which I was then able to use to purchase a replacement model. The whole process took around 40 minutes and was done with a smile! Top marks Jamie, I can't rate the service highly enough!

4 years agoStraight in traded some consoles and games in with a good price(they do charge you if something is missing though) only a few quid.

4 years agoTrade in prices are really bad if you want cash not the trade in value eco system. Sold them a phone for £120 cash they now put it in there window at £250! But if your like me and can’t be bothered selling yourself you lose money for convenience by selling it to them.

4 years agoCex is a games shop were you can buy and sell games for your X box/playstation etc,the store also deals with video films all categories,second hand phones tablets etc and many more products,well worth a visit.

5 years agoHey I went to Bolton cex today with the full box set of ideal which cost me 35 pounds at hmv about a month ago along with other dvds they offered me eight pounds I took them home with me and think there pricing wrong and could be looked at

Helpful friendly staff and very knowledgeable on all goods for sale.
Only downside imho not good exchange for games.
Definitely worth 4 stars

5 years agoWent into store today to trade in my switch. Got a fair price for it. The staff at the store are amazing. Clearly under staffed but they all kept their cool. Everyone was polite and friendly, and put up with my awful jokes and running commentary about the high weeb popularity in the store customer base. The store only lost a star because there’s nothing to do in Leigh for two hours while they tested my console. Put in a bar or something.
I want to say a big thank you to Micheal G, really a top guy.
